It's better if you go there before going to Nagoya Castle

Came here for a lazy stroll among greenery n ornamental garden after a long day of shopping yesterday. Come over if you seek peace n quiet away from the maddening crowd.

Peaceful Japanese garden for 30min strolling in any season. Components are large pond, small waterfalls, lush greens, seasonal flowers and tea house/banquet.Two gates to enter. North and southwest. Combination ticket with Nagoya castle is a good deal. Adjacent museum is also popular.

Comfortable to walk there

Beautiful Japanese garden. You can enter for only 300 yen. This is a great place to take pictures for couples and you can also pay to feed the koi fish.

Definitely a must-see if you are visiting Nagoya in the early Dec. I am very glad that I went there this afternoon in such a sunny and warm day. The ‘fall’ color is soooo pretty! In America, all the leaves are gone within a week after peak in the late November. But the fall color is so amazing in this garden, even more shinning than that in Kyoto. Also the fish in the pond, I can watch them all the time until sunset.

Surprising garden with a waterfall and a lake. The water element is rarely that present in Japanese garden and it's worth visiting. The garden part is a bit small and disappointing though.

Nice garden for relax and water in pond is very clear.

Such a quite and relaxing place to spend a good 2 hours in the afternoon. The lake in the park is so beautiful and lively. And plants are prosperous and well taken care. It's a great place if you want to take some nice pictures, and enjoy the nice atmosphere of a traditional Japan garden.

Excellent view. Must go

Great place, takes about 30 minutes to walk around. Recommend going in spring or fall. The museum was awesome, definitely recommend the museum+park. The museum took me a little over an hour, so plan for about 1 hr and 30 minutes of walking! Then, go check out the ramen place down the road called Josui!

Very beautiful and quiet park situated in the middle of the city. A great place to take nice pictures. Admission fee is yen300. When we visited the gardens, two groups of newly wed couples were taking photos.

Tranquility, Peace of mind.... Feel the ancient Japanese garden.

It’s a very calm and nice place for an afternoon walk. It’s pretty walkable for seniors. No big slopes. The size is manageable as well. It took us about 45 minutes to see each labeled landmark regardless the rain. It will be great to bring onigiri here for a picnic :)BTW, if you’re sensitive to mosquitoes, be sure to wear thick long sleeves and bring heavy duty mosquito repellent. I got mosquito bites everywhere 😂 the UNIQLO Heattech long sleeve didn’t save me from the bites.

Oh fish of fish oh fishhhh...why are you so beautiful..i just loved feeding them food herePeaceful Japanese garden for 1 hour strolling in any season. Components are large pond, small waterfalls, lush greens, seasonal flowers and tea house/banquet.The colorful fish just love humans and are not afraid of coming closer to you so do carry something to feed them. Two gates to enter. North and southwest.Combination ticket with Nagoya castle is a good deal. Adjacent museum is a so so and you can give it a pass too.

It'a a fine example of Japanese garden construction, but lacks architectural elements because the museum is very modern and made of concrete.

I love the quietness of this place. Although it can be crowded at times, it is usually calm and people are respectful of the place.

Amazing place to visit ! It's a gorgeous Japanese garden with a beautiful lake and streams and waterfalls. Also don't forget to stop and watch the Koi swimming too ! You could spend a lot of time here relaxing or walking around enjoying the scenery easily !

Not great English support and the maps could be better, but overall a nice garden park. 15 minute walk from Ozone station, but you'll need to use gps or a map to find your way there. You'll likely see many people taking pictures.
Mandy Williams
Kept up very nicely and has lots of beautiful Koi fish. If you have 100 yen to spare, you can grab a cup of feed from a cabinet located next to the entrance closest to the Ozone station. The fish really love being fed and it's a great place to take children
Dianne Tan
I really loved the place. For me despite that it was just a kini stop for us, it was one of the best gardens that I visited.
Sara Vandenbosch
The garden is really worth the admission fee if you are there! It is a beautiful place!
Nor Shafilan Ismail
beautiful and relaxing place to spend time with your loved one, family, kids...entrance fees only 300yen for adult but it is really worth it for this beautiful garden..even though the place not so big but it is well maintained...very recomended!

The best thing about this garden is that there are lots of hidden trails.
Zara Hsge
My favorite garden to stroll, you can enjoy there every season with different seasonal flowers and coloring leaves. Ocasionally they open at nights when there's any special event. Moon watching, summer heat escape, coloring leaves light-up etc.Easy walk from Ozone station or take a bus there but doesn't run often.
Shinkansen Kakkoi
Amazing place. In fall It was amazing.

Away from the crowds, this little gem is tucked away in a quiet suburb. It is peaceful and beautiful. Get away from the crowds and take a short bus ride to visit this garden.

A very nice place to take pictures and admire Japanese style nature
Federico Alberto Capelletti
Very beautiful park in the middle of the city. Admission isn’t free, but it’s not expensive either. Recommended if you’re looking to get a quick refreshing walk in and can’t drive outside of the city.
